SML Travel Agency is a leading provider of unique travel experiences in the vibrant and culturally rich region of Somaliland & Djibouti. We are expanding our team and seeking a dynamic and experienced assistant & Tour guide to serve as our representative in Djibouti. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our agency. You will work together with our award-winning team to create unforgettable tours in Djibouti. Our team is mainly situated in our offices in Somaliland and The Netherlands. You will be working in an international environment as our clients are coming from all over the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Tour Bookings:
• Manage and process tour bookings efficiently.
• Communicate with clients to understand their travel preferences and customize our tour packages accordingly.
Tour Planning and Coordination:
• Plan and organize diverse tour itineraries and ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
• Coordinate logistics, transportation, and accommodations for tours in Djibouti.
Guiding:
• Serve as a tour guide in Djibouti, providing in-depth knowledge and insights during tours.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of our clients throughout the journey.
Driver Requirement:
• Serve as a driver when necessary, ensuring safe transportation for clients during tours.
Administrative Work:
• Handle administrative tasks related to tour documentation, budgeting/finance, permits, and agreements.
Client/Partner Relations:
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Address inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
Additional Tasks:
• Undertake any other necessary tasks deemed reasonable for the efficient functioning of the role.
• Adapt to the evolving needs of the travel industry and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Proven experience in tour operations and travel management.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication.
• Proficiency in spoken and written French + English; knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the Djibouti tourism landscape is a plus.
• Flexibility to travel through Djibouti and Somaliland as needed.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
